Chan Chan
Chan Chan, «bright sun» in the Chimus language, was the center of the
Chimu culture and the largest adobe city in America. The central zone is
formed by ten walled citadels and pyramids. In the wider area there are a
variety of small structures, footpaths, canals, walls and cemeteries.
