Chiclayo

Chiclayo, the «Ciudad de la Amistad» (City of Friendship) is the capital of the department of Lambayeque and the fourth largest Peruvian city. The Chimú, Mochica and Lambayeque (Sicán) cultures once flourished here. Many archaeological sites can still be admired today, such as Señor de Sipán in Huaca Rajada, Señor de Sicán in Batán Grande, the Pyramids of Túcume. Archaeological objects can be viewed in several museums.
